We LOVED staying at Hotel San Buena; we were only there for one night, but the staff was so pleasant, patient, and welcoming. It's such a lovely, unique offering in downtown Ventura, walkable to Main Street restaurants and shopping (so convenient!). Jonathan was so helpful with all our luggage and very patient with weary travelers. This is truly a fantastic option in Ventura, especially if you don't want to stay in a mid-range chain hotel, and we can't wait to be back.

Celebrated our anniversary at this hotel. It’s the perfect place especially for a staycation. I would say the room and the charm of the hotel was the best part but for me it’s always about the customer service! How you’re greeted and how you’re treated helps in your experience and I must say some of the best customer service is here! Specifically, Peter at the front desk. He was so kind and helpful. This is a must stay if you’re traveling or if your local and ask for Peter😉

Honestly, the best hotel. Everything ebout it, feels super chic, cute, historic, beautiful rooms and lobby. The staff is very professional and kind. It's such a hidden gem and I can't wait to have my family stay when they visit me up here. The room was gorgeous with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed and great amenities.

Harlen and Johnathan greeted me with such warmth and professionalism that it instantly set the tone for an exceptional stay. Their top-tier service made everything seamless—like they knew exactly what I needed before I asked.

Place is great and worth staying for. With the price, customer service was top notch. Peter was very quick and thoughtful with everything for all the days we stayed there. Tons of options for food and sightseeing with everything so close by. Wedding venue here was beautiful and the food was terrific. The coffee service provided here was a good way to start the morning, although it’s a shame theres no breakfast at the hotel. Other than that its a great option to stay in ventura

We liked the room and the staff. It was nice to be close to downtown, yet have privacy and quiet at the hotel itself, even Halloween celebrations downtown didn't bother us much. The best thing for us was relaxing near the fireplace on the patio.

For those of us shooting both digital and film, the lighting and textures here are incredible. From the iconic indoor staircase and the quirky mounted elk to the arched crown molded concrete doorways, there is a unique frame at every turn.
